New World Legendary Weapons – Where to find them ?

Legendary Weapons section of the New World guide and walkthrough contains explainers on how to unlock the Legendary category of weapons that you can use at max level. You can use these Legendary Weapons once you’ve buffed your weapon skill of choice up to Weapon Mastery 20.

 

How to Find Legendary Weapons

Legendary weapons are earned at the end of a long line of quests that begin by speaking to the soulwarden James Sexton in Eastburn Outpost, Great Cleave. The questline goes as follows:

• Shadows Cast By A Final Salute (Level 39, James Sexton, Eastburn Outpost, Great Cleave)
• Facets of Light and Darkness (Level 42, Rymon Knatchbull, Eastburn Outpost, Great Cleave)
• Redefining Boundaries (Level 45, Cheng Zhen, Eastburn Outpost, Great Cleave)
• Rainbow Hearts, Shadowed Intent (Mirrell Law, Cleave’s Point, Great Cleave)
• Own Worst Enemy (Level 58, Eintou Madaki, Mountainhome, Shattered Mountain)
• Madaki’s Stratagem (Level 60, Eintou Madaki, Mountainhome, Shattered Mountain)

Once you’re ready to meet Eintou Madaki, all you need to do is travel up to the Shattered Mountain zone, which is recommended only for Level 60 players and resides at the top of the world map. 

Inside of Shattered Mountain, you will need to travel to the western outpost, Mountainhome, where you will find the NPC Eintou Madaki. He can give you a quest called Madaki’s Stratagem, which is required for you to complete (as well as the following quests in the chain) before you can begin to find, use, and craft Legendary Weapons for yourself.

The following is a list of Legendary Weapons and the quest needed to attain them. Each of these Legendary Weapons also has a gear score of 580, making them far more powerful from the get-go than the average loot you’re likely to find in the world.

Each quest will require you to find the materials to craft several parts, which differ depending on which weapon you’re building. Note that each quest will send you to areas dominated by tough enemies, so prepare to hunt for these parts with a group of friends!
