The newest Path of Exile league, Archnemesis, is upon us and launches. Together with the Archnemesis league we also have a brand-new League Startet Build with the Siege of the Atlas expansion.

In Path of Exile: Siege of the Atlas, two new Eldritch Horrors threaten to consume the Atlas of Worlds. Join Commander Kirac’s militia and defend the Atlas and Wraeclast itself against these celestial foes. This large endgame expansion contains new Atlas systems, pinnacle bosses, one gigantic Atlas passive skill tree, Eldritch implicit endgame crafting, new unique items, the Archnemesis Challenge league and much more.

We’d like to give you a few recommendations of what we believe to be some of the strongest league starter builds (although any build tagged as a League Starter and updated for 3.17, is a very solid choice)

League Startet Build Arc Elementalist

Were you ever looking for a build that suited new players, moderately experienced players, and players who like to min-max their builds to the fullest? Then you’ve arrived at the perfect spot! This build packs around 2 Million boss damage in a Solo Self-Found environment, or 5 Million on a min-maxed trade league build while having over 10.000 Effective Health, combined with incredible mitigation. It is very easy to to get going even for newer players, as it mostly just requires the set of gems we have put together for you to feel relatively strong overall!

Vaal Arc has been a popular skill gem throughout the game’s history, mainly because it has an appealing sound and look to it. After being broken for a couple of leagues, it was heavily nerfed way back in 1.1 and 1.2, after which it was revamped and reworked completely in 3.3, and buffed again in 3.6. These two buffs firstly introduced its single target mechanic of dealing more damage per remaining chain. This effectively means that  has a 165% More multiplier versus single target, which is more than some 6-links add. In addition to that, it had its numbers reworked to fit the current state of the game better and put it in line with other spells.

The guide we wrote for Elementalist focuses on stacking the buffs granted by Golems, as well as fitting in more auras than a regular build would. This naturally stems from the necessity to fit in Heralds in pre 3.13 Elementalist and even though that is no longer the case ,  and  are just really nice to have for damage and defense while Spider is incredible utility and another layer of defense. After the nerfs to Mana leech quite recently, you really have a hard time building these without running a high level . This already requires some investment in Mana Reservation nodes, so we decided to push that a little bit further to introduce the very potent Aspect of the Spider in the build. Aspect of the Spider still is incredibly underrated by a vast majority of the playerbase. It grants you 15% more damage (assuming you don’t have another source of increased damage taken, so in our case it is more like 11%) and reduces enemies’ movement speed by 30%.

Since the build has so much recovery, avoidance, and damage, most fights will not take long enough for anything to ever hurt you. To make sure the build does well versus the very endgame bosses, though, it invests significantly into Life and Energy Shield to make sure it will almost never get one-shot.

League Startet Build Skeleton Mages Necromancer

This build uses the  which transforms your skeletons from the  skill in to spell casting mages! You are able to use this for leveling all the way from Act 1, however, it is more than fine to league start this character in a fresh league as well as using it as your very first character in a new league. There are multiple ways to play this build. I’ve made sure to showcase the lowest budget end-game destroying version in this written guide & there are also a handful of different PoB links showcasing medium as well as high budget options.

Since this build has a very niche playstyle, I would strongly recommend watching the video linked below to see if it’s something you’d find enjoyable to play.

Herald of Agony Juggernaut

The Herald of Agony skill was introduced in Path of Exile’s 3.4 Delve League Expansion and immediately show it was very good at that expansion’s theme. It has been used to Delve to great success ever since, because it is able to get incredibly tanky while dishing out relatively reliable and high damage. In fact, the Herald of Agony (HoA) builds that rose up, and we’ve seen quite some variations of them (Dodge-focused Raiders, Super tanky Juggernauts, or Energy Shield-based Guardians), had to get nerfed in GGG’s eyes with the release of 3.10 Delirium League. Admitt, they might have seen the addition of Cluster Jewels and more particularly  Calamitous Visions as a possible reason why the build could get out of control if it hadn’t been adjusted a little.

Calamitous Visions really was a really nice bump in the build’s damage potential and is the reason why we will be recommending a Cluster Jewel setup. Worry not though, even without this Cluster Jewel setup, the build will play perfectly fine, which is what makes it a very solid League Starter or Solo-Self Found candidate. It doesn’t look for any particular damage modifiers on gear whatsoever, so all of them are fairly easy to acquire. In this guide, however, we will be focusing on a Trade League environment and will be including some items that are more optimal if you can buy them off the market. Items like a  Glorious Vanity or a  Saffell’s Frame are quite rare to find in Solo-Self Found but if you’re familiar with how to focus specific items or if you play a lot, getting them shouldn’t pose much of a problem.

This League Startet Buildd achieves 89% Elemental Damage Reduction, 92% Physical & Chaos Damage Reduction, while still getting around 7000 Life. Additionally it has over 500 Life Gained on Hit and around 500 Life Regeneration. While this obviously makes it very tanky, it still maintains a solid 3-5 million Shaper DPS, depending on the investment, on a skill that has 100% uptime! Don’t forget that while other builds might be reaching more DPS, their uptime definitely is a lot lower as they can’t deal damage while dodging incoming abilities or attacks.

Besides whirling around with Cyclone and pressing your flasks, there really isn’t anything you need to manually cast. We’ve harbored all the skills in automated setups through  Cast when Damage Taken Support so you can focus on playing and enjoying the content while your character keeps all your buffs up for you.

League Startet Build Chaos Dot Occultist

This Chaos DoT build is a classic league-starter build that has been among the smoothest & easiest league-starter builds ever since the Chaos DoT abilities were introduced to the game. League Startet Build offers not only a great start available for even SSF leagues but also comes with a super high roof in terms of high budget end-game investment possibilities. You can go to CI, Low-Life or stay life based and upgrade your items significantly to reach millions of DPS. The low budget approach is more than capable of reaching end-game and will scale very well with upgrades as you go.

Besides the above builds, we have a lot more League Startet Build ready for you. If you still have not found a build and the above recommendations are not for you then head over to our build service.
