Diablo 4 update season 2: Accessibility

  • The Screen Reader tool no longer reads the text presented on the Delete Character and Skip Campaign buttons. Fixed an issue where the Screen Reader didn’t correctly read the Shift + I keybinding.
  • The Screen Reader no longer misreads the Menu button on Xbox controllers.

Diablo 4 update season 2: Classes

Barbarian

  • When using Deathblow when equipped with both the Earthstriker Aspect and the Burning Rage Aspect, the Overpower damage from the Earthstriker Aspect was allocated to the Damage from Burning Rage rather than Deathblow.
  • Fixed a bug in which the Earthstriker Aspect’s guaranteed overpower would not completely apply to all damage delivered by an ability (for example, only the first opponent hit by Hammer of The Ancients would suffer overpower damage).
  • The usage of Bounding Slam in certain areas might force the player to warp back to their initial location and get trapped.
  • Bounding slam might lead the player to become caught in terrain or Fog Walls.
  • Fixed a bug in which activating Charge at a specific angle on flat walls caused the player to travel backward.
  • The Conceited Aspect no longer granted extra damage when Iron Skin was active.
  • The status effect for Expose Vulnerability now appears correctly on the bonus bar. When employed on a breakable item, Deathblow will reset. This has been fixed.
  • Call of the Ancients no longer displayed a Lucky Hit probability in the tooltip, despite the fact that the skill does not cause Lucky Hits.
  • When utilizing the Murdering Call emote, Barbarians might have visual issues.
  • If the Weapon Master’s Aspect was equipped, the next rank tooltip for a Weapon Mastery skill might display incorrect information.
  • When transferring goods in the inventory, the timer for the Dominate Glyph would reset.
  • The tooltip for Gushing Wounds was incorrectly indicating that the benefit was cumulative.
  • Whirlwind no longer applied the Expose Vulnerability passive on its initial cast.

Druid

  • When imprinted on an Amulet, a max roll Symbiotic Aspect would not have max roll stats.
  • Fixed an issue where free casts of Landslide from the Trampled Earth Aspect did not produce Primal Landslide’s Terra motes if Landslide was not equipped.
  • The tooltip for Provocation has been updated to state that it cannot be triggered by Defensive skills.
  • The use of a Healing Potion no longer resets the stacks from Provocation.
  • When employing Fierce Earth Spike, the entangle effect from the Constricting Tendrils Paragon node might be applied to the player.
  • Storm’s Companion now incorrectly displays the Wolves skill as a Storm and Nature Magic Skill in the skill’s tooltip.
  • Fixed an issue where casting Boulder on the edge of an Elite-generated suppressor field would instantly destroy the boulder.
  • Poison applied by Poison Creeper was not absorbed by Werebear assaults employing the Aspect of the Changeling’s Debt.
  • The Aspects of Retaliation and the Expectant no longer applied extra damage to Boulder.
  • Fixed an issue where Wolves did not revert to Werewolves if The Alpha’s Aspect was not equipped in town.
  • Earth Spike was incorrectly classified as a Werebear talent by Vasily’s Prayer for other effects that interact with Werebear skills.
  • Fixed an issue where combining the effect of Supreme Grizzly Rage with Direwolf’s aspect would result in the stealth afforded by Waxing Gibbous being quickly negated while using Shred.
  • The permanent Werewolf form from Mad Wolf’s Glee no longer reliably triggered the Damage Reduction from the Vigorous Aspect.
  • Fixed a problem with the Early Offerings challenge not progressing consistently.
  • The Staff of Whispers quest reward could no longer be exchanged.
  • The +3 Skill Ranks boost on Mad Wolf’s Glee and Insatiable Fury was increased to +4 when upgraded at the Blacksmith.
  • Fixed a bug in which Innate Earthen Bulwark scaled with the target’s health rather than the player’s weapon.
  • Fixed a bug in which the slow from the Neurotoxin Passive only applied to poison directly by the player and not by any friends.
  • When wearing Insatiable Fury, the Iron Fur passive was not provided. This has been fixed.
  • Damage from the Changeling’s Debt Aspect could not be applied effectively within a Suppressor Field.

Necromancer

  • Fixed a number of instances in which Bone Prisons in specific scenarios and places might have a detrimental impact on NPC behavior or quest and event advancement.
  • Ghastly Bone Prison’s Vulnerable effect no longer triggers Lucky Hits.
  • Fixed a bug in which the Golem’s tooltip did not reflect any increase in maximum health (ex: the Hulking Monstrosity paragon node).
  • Fixed a bug in which the Aspect of Gore Quills may fire Blood Lances indefinitely from other players’ Blood Orbs without eating them.
  • The Aspect of Serration’s benefit was incorrectly represented as additive when it was truly multiplicative.
  • Fixed a bug in which Blood Mist healing would award stacks from the Aspect of Disobedience.
  • When picking up Blood Orbs while in Blood Mist, Fortify from the Blood Drinker Glyph was not awarded.
  • Rathma’s Vigor now stacks correctly while mounted.
  • Fixed a bug in which performing Decompose on an opponent right before death from another source of damage might lead the player to get briefly trapped.
  • The Lidless Wall power’s tooltip now more accurately defines its prerequisites. It no longer states an opponent “unaffected” by Bone Storm, but rather an adversary “outside” of Bone Storm.
  • The name of Viscous Aspect has been changed to Occult Dominion.
  • Fixed a bug in which Minions did not completely benefit from Shields’ weapon damage bonus.
  • Fixed an issue where Necromancers couldn’t rotate while channeling a spell if they possessed a one-handed weapon but nothing in their off-hand.
  • The Corporeal Glyph’s physical damage boost no longer granted benefits in some slots. Bonus Physical Damage has been adjusted to bonus Magic Damage for nodes within range.
  • Fixed a bug in which the guaranteed Overpower from Rathma’s Vigor might be spent on a blood echo rather than a cast skill like Blood Surge.

Rouge

  • When casting Rain of Arrows, the Shadow Clone generated by Grasp of Shadow will now apply Imbuement as intended.
  • Male Rogues could no longer move when resurrecting another player unless they used Evade.
  • Multiple cases where Rogues might be targeted while Concealment was active have been fixed.
  • Fixed an issue where Energy Spent did not count towards Preparation if you used a Marksman Core skill followed by a Cutthroat Basic Skill.
  • Fixed a bug in which breakable items and animals were counted as opponents for Improved and Enhanced Penetrating Shot.
  • The Energizing Aspect no longer generates energy when it hits non-elite foes, such as breakable items.
  • When the player was facing a wall, arrows launched from the Volley may launch in the other direction.
  • The tooltip for the Aspect of Bursting Venoms said that critical hits would activate the effect, however, it was really any Poison Imbued skill doing damage.
  • The Enshrouding Aspect no longer reliably granted stacks of Dark Shroud when standing stationary for 3 seconds or more.
  • The Shadow Clone provided by Grasp of Shadow no longer completed a Cast of Twisting Blades.
  • It was discovered that the Shadow Clone from Grasp of Shadow did not apply Poison Damage.

Sorcerer

  • The Acrobatics Elixir no longer increased the cooldown of the Teleport Enchantment.
  • The Enchantment Master Legendary Paragon node no longer provided any advantage to the Teleport Enchantment. When Enchantment Master is obtained, the tooltip for the Teleport Enchantment’s cooldown will now be correct.
  • By mounting your horse immediately after casting Deep Freeze, we were able to fix an issue where Deep Freeze could be utilized while moving on it.
  • Fixed a bug in which the Challenge trackers for killing monsters with particular Elemental talents were not properly tracked.
  • When employing the Elementalist Aspect, the Embers from Flamescar might deal excessive Critical Strike damage.
  • Fixed an issue where the Winter Glyph’s damage was uneven.
  • The Aspect of Static Cling now increases the Mana cost of Charged Bolts.
  • With the Enhanced Ball Lightning upgrade, the tooltip for Ball Lightning incorrectly displayed damage factoring in Attack Speed. The Enhanced Ball Lightning upgrade tooltip no longer indicated damage dependent on your attack speed.
  • Fixed an issue in which certain ranged skills from the player did not strike an opponent to whom they transported immediately, and some ranged attacks from that enemy did not hit the player.
  • Fixed an issue where Esu’s Ferocity bonus was applied to all damage rather than Critical Strike damage.
  • Fixed a bug in which the additional duration from Mage’s Blizzard did not apply to Blizzard casts done over 50 Mana but took the player’s Mana below 50.
  • Fixed an issue where temporary movement speed boosts did not contribute to Esu’s Heirloom’s Critical Strike chance increase.
  • Fixed an issue where the Ice Blades tooltip did not properly update Lucky Hit Chance.
  • Fixed a bug in which Chain Lightning would fail to bounce when utilized on stairs.
  • Fixed a bug in which charging foes might stun the player if they teleported near the adversary while wearing Raiment of the Infinite.
  • When the player has an active barrier, the tooltip for Greater Ice Shards now correctly depicts how the upgrade assures Ice Shards will ricochet and cause additional damage.
  • Hydra’s Burning Damage now scales with the target’s health rather than the player’s weapon.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented Sorcerers from gambling for daggers at the Purveyor of Curiosities.
  • The additional damage from Enhanced Frozen Orb did not apply if the Frozen Orb was cast above 50 mana and took the player below 50 mana.

Diablo 4 update season 2: Cooperative Play 

  • Multiple cases where boss behavior may go wrong if not all players were inside the Fog Wall have been fixed.
  • If all players were not in the boss location when the encounter began, subsequent players might be prevented from passing through the Fog Wall during the boss encounter in Eriman’s Pyre.
  • Accepting both an Invite to Party and a Request to Join Party would result in a non-dismissible warning popup.
  • When a player initiates an action that causes members of their party to teleport to their position, but then leaves that area, the other party members arrive at a random location. This problem has been resolved. Multiple cases where players may interact with the Wanderer’s Shrine in a Stronghold without properly assembling their party have been resolved.
  • Fixed an issue where entering an ongoing Echo of Lilith combat would result in immediate death.
  • Fixed an issue where activating distinct Runestones at the same time might cause some Diviner quests to fail unexpectedly.
  • The Reset Dungeon button was displayed for players in the group who were not the party leader.
  • Fixed an issue where a Nightmare Dungeon may split into many instances if all party members entered the Dungeon at the same time.
  • Fixed a bug in which players could not join one other’s parties if one of them changed their World Tier and the other(s) were not qualified for the higher World Tier.
  • Fixed a bug in which the player could not be invited to other parties if another member of their party disbanded the party.
  • Fixed a bug in which Sorcerer Conjurations seemed partially invisible to other party members.
  • Under certain conditions, players might join a Hardcore Realm with a non-hardcore character.
  • Multiple instances where players might become stuck when completing particular tasks while another player joined them for Local Co-Op have been resolved.

Diablo 4 update season 2: Dungeons

General

  • When approaching the Bloodstone position in the Desecrated Crypt, an excessive amount of Elites would spawn.
  • Multiple situations where invisible barriers might block player projectiles in the Zenith, Hallowed Glacier, Caldera Gate, and Rimescar Cavern have been fixed.
  • During events that created waves of opponents, such as Sole Survivor, adversaries might spawn behind the barred door in the Tomb of the Saints.
  • Fixed an issue in Cultist Refuge where the Overseer may spawn behind a closed door, preventing progression.
  • Fixed an issue in Raethwind Wilds and Luban’s Rest where Immune foes would stay Immune after teleporting to the player at the conclusion of the Defeat All foes goal.
  • Fixed an issue in the Fallen Temple where two stone carvings would drop if the player completed the Sigil of the Weak and subsequently the Sigil of the Indolent.
  • The locked gate in the Flooded Depths might now be circumvented using the Sorcerer’s Teleport talent.
  • In Hoarfrost Demise, elite goat-man monsters might spawn indefinitely due to a bug.
  • When exiting the Dungeon, the Curses dealt to the player in the Fallen Temple would reset.
  • Fixed a bug in which the player might spawn behind a closed door in the Kor Dragan Barracks, preventing progression.
  • Fixed a bug in the Sealed Archives’ Sole Survivor event that caused opponents to cease spawning before all waves were completed.
  • Fixed a bug in which opponents might spawn outside the barrier in the Ancient Reservoir, preventing progression.
  • Fixed an issue in Halls of the Damned where battling foes for the Holdout event may be avoided by hugging the room’s walls.
  • Several cases where returning the mechanical box to the pedestal did not restore Life have been resolved.
  • The Bastion of Faith now has Fog Walls around the final arena, which was previously missing.

Nightmare Dungeons

  • It was discovered that evading through the Drifting Shade in a Nightmare Dungeon might force the player to stop moving in the middle of an action.
  • The immunity bubble that was created after finishing a Nightmare Dungeon could be evaded by foes that were not in direct line of sight of the Awakened Glyphstone has been fixed.
  • Stormbane’s Wrath could no longer spawn outside the map due to a bug.
  • After waiting 10 minutes outside the dungeon, Nightmare Dungeons would reset and become distinct instances for party members. They will still reset, but they will no longer be distinct instances.
  • There was an unnecessary wait between beating the boss at the conclusion of the Dungeon and the Dungeon registering as finished.

Diablo 4 update season 2: Event and Whispers

  • Fixed an issue where the Servant of Hell might lose its invulnerability during a Legion Invasion event if the character was killed at that stage or the monster targeted a mounted player.
  • The mastery event for the Potent Blood event can now be acquired even if all monsters are not destroyed within the time limit.
  • Fixed a bug in which the Hold Your Ground event would end even if there were still enemies to defeat.
  • The Butcher would not despawn if the player killed while the Last Stand event was still active.
  • After failing the mastery for a Last Stand event, foes might spawn indefinitely.
  • The Wayward Soul might continue endlessly if the player moved in and out of the region surrounding the soul regularly.
  • Fixed a bug in which mastery for the Demon Vessel event was not awarded if the captives were released too early.
  • Various difficulties with the Ancient Obelisk event’s pressure plates when mounted have been resolved.
  • Multiple cases where goals might appear outside of a Whisper’s specified region have been fixed.

Diablo 4 update season 2: Monsters

  • Webbed Barricades, such as those in the Echoing Cavern, could no longer be damaged using Core talents.
  • Fixed a bug in which monsters may vanish if they were Feared after they reset and the player exited their radius.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed the Seething Abomination to enter Alzuuda.
  • Fixed an issue where Fallen Shaman bosses sometimes miss strikes against melee players.
  • While taunted, Ghost creatures, mainly melee varieties, would not attack the player.
  • Ward of Eyes creatures might now apply their stun more frequently than intended.
  • Fixed many cases where attackers might spawn underground after activating an Altar of Lilith.
  • The damaged area provided by Echo of Lilith no longer appeared after using an Elixir of Death evasion during the fight.
  • The Pitiless Gur may now be slain from a distance without ever engaging the player.
  • Fixed a bug in which Putrid Remains creatures might spawn repeatedly.
  • Fixed a bug in which Ghost creatures might become invisible when subjected to Burn effects.
  • Fixed an issue where the Innes boss’s movement and actions may be halted if he was staggered at a specified spot.
  • When the Butcher escaped, there was no notice. This has been fixed.
  • Fixed an issue where the Butcher’s ranged sickle attack did not work across pits or chasms.
  • A bug in the death animation of Ghost creatures has been fixed.
  • It was discovered that Bloated Corpsefiends with the Summoner Affix might create idle and unkillable creatures.

Diablo 4 update season 2: Miscellaneous

  • Nightmare Sigils no longer dropped from World Boss stockpiles in World Tiers II and III, where Nightmare Dungeons are inaccessible.
  • Fixed a bug in which Poison Puddles caused excessive controller vibration.
  • The Thorns damage from the Needleflare Aspect no longer ignored Damage Bonus and Damage Reduction effects.
  • Fixed a bug in which turning in position, such as while casting Incinerate, counted as moving for the purpose of canceling off the impact of the Aspect of Inner Calm.

  • Fixed an issue where some buffs that should have been removed while entering town were not correctly removed when returning to town via a town portal.
  • Fixed a bug in which Paragon nodes that awarded non-physical damage boosts were multiplicative rather than additive.
  • When a player used the following Paragon Glyphs on a monster, other players were able to profit from the impact in an unexpected way. This problem has been resolved.

Diablo 4 update season 2: Items

  • Fixed a bug that prevented Vigo’s Protecting Amulet from being retrieved.
  • Fixed an issue in which things labeled as rubbish that was exchanged retained their junk status for the person to whom the item was traded.
  • A bug in which some crafting materials might appear in the Lost Item stockpile has been fixed.
  • Fixed an issue where the Curative Elixir Recipe might be lost indefinitely. If the player does not obtain it after finishing the Pinch of Poison quest for any reason, it will now be added to the Lost Item Stash.

Strongholds

  • Fixed a bug in which progress in the Moordaine Lodge might be halted if the player arrived to the Beast’s Lair before the boss.
  • Fixed an issue in Moordaine Lodge where players may assault creatures without retribution from the other side of a traverse.
  • Fixed many cases where boss fights may not be correctly restarted in certain Strongholds.
  • Multiple cases where the player may become caught behind the Wanderer’s Shrine in various Strongholds have been fixed.
  • Fixed an issue in Hope’s Light where the player might evade opponents by walking down the ladder off the ship during the Drowned assault objective.
  • During the confrontation in Tr Dlra, Baelgemoth might be injured from beyond the Fog Wall. This has been fixed.
  • Fixed a bug in which Baelgemoth might abruptly and briefly vanish.
  • Fixed an issue in Vyeresz where the player may evade all attackers by mounting during the survival event for accessing the Serpent’s Eye Door.
  • Fixed an issue where the Serpent’s Eye door could be bypassed, preventing progression.
  • Fixed an issue where adversaries may target the player on the opposite side of the Serpent’s Eye Door, causing the door to seem open and, as a result, preventing progression.
  • Fixed an issue in Vyeresz where the player may mount in the boss area, preventing the boss from spawning and hence preventing progression.
  • Fixed an issue in the Temple of Rot where the player might destroy eggs and pillars before starting the boss fight.
  • The High Priest opponent in the Altar of Ruin no longer attacks the player if it spawns with specific Affixes.
  • Fixed an issue in Nostrava where Crazed villagers would disappear when the player left the region, preventing progression.
  • Fixed an issue where adversaries might be led into a specific location in Malnok and assaulted without retribution.
  • It was discovered that the Crusader’s Monument aim of collecting skulls may be fulfilled by continually utilizing the same skull.
  • Nilcar in Kor Dragan could no longer be blocked by the Necromancer’s Minions.

Quests

  • There were several cases when some Quests did not correctly give Renown advancement.
  • Fixed a bug in which the Poachers were uninteractable at the conclusion of Tending Nature.
  • The Lilith Boss fight was restarted if a Barbarian player Leaped into the Fog Wall.
  • Fixed a bug in which Brol’s charge could still deliver damage to the player even if he killed during it.
  • Fixed a bug in which the player might enter the church in Nevesk before unlocking the door with the key, preventing mission progression.
  • During the Apex of Misery combat, foes might go passive and no damage would be done to the player while Aridah was immune.
  • Fixed a bug that caused Valtha to become trapped when teleporting during the Witch of the Wastes task.
  • Fixed an issue in which the player may obstruct Elias’ pathing while battling him during Piercing the Veil, enabling Elias to be injured without engaging the player.
  • Fixed an issue where Heretic’s advancement might be halted at the Find Aneta phase.
  • Fixed a bug in which quest progression might be halted if the quest was abandoned in the middle.
  • Fixed an issue in which Ninsa’s minions might be destroyed too rapidly, preventing progression in In Desolation’s Wake.
  • During Guardians of the Pit, opponents might be enticed out of the Quest area and obstruct progression.
  • During the Flesh and Blood quest, monsters might spawn too far away from the player.
  • Fixed an issue when Desperate Remedies failed to grant the amulet described in the Quest.
  • By Three They Come’s advancement might have been halted owing to Ghouls not spawning.

User Interface

  • Fixed an issue where the Taunt effect’s indication Icon differed between Classes.
  • Fixed a bug in which various stats and tooltips, such as Damage Over Time, Damage Reduction, Elemental Resistances, and Skill Cooldowns, displayed different values in their tooltips depending on whether the player was in town or not.
  • The Elixir of Fortitude’s maximum life increase was incorrectly listed as 30% when it was only 20%.
  • Fixed a bug in which certain Challenges lacked explanations.
  • The experience boost was not included in the tooltip for the active effect of an Elixir.
  • The Social Wheel might become unresponsive if all actions were left unassigned.
  • The choices on the Social Wheel might look grayed out if the wheel was closed due to another menu being accessed.
  • When using a controller, the notice for obtaining a Paragon Point did not include a button prompt.
  • Fixed an issue where the tooltip for Dungeons with active Whispers displayed the Codex of Power Aspect granted for completion even if the Aspect has already been unlocked.
  • Text in Japanese, Korean, and Chinese did not appear properly in the Hall of Fallen Heroes or friends list remarks.
  • Druids and Barbarians no longer display as silhouettes in loading screens.
  • Fixed an issue where the Map became unresponsive when opened when using Force Move.
  • Fixed an issue where a Map Pin’s location might change after using a Waypoint.
  • Switching between the edit and other tabs in the Stash while playing with the gamepad caused the menu to malfunction.
  • Some damage bonus stats in the Character Stats box did not appear properly due to a bug.
  • The chosen tab in the Vendor menu no longer switches automatically when the shop’s timer is refreshed.
  • Several situations where Challenge descriptions would not expand when clicked with have been fixed.
  • Other situations where tooltips and text explanations were wrong or presented incorrectly have been resolved.
  • Other difficulties with Map Pins and Quest Markers have been resolved.
  • Fixed many cases where the Map and/or Minimap were erroneous.
  • The Snowveiled and Disobedience Legendary characteristics’ benefits were wrongly shown as multiplicative rather than additive.
  • Various fixes for localization.

Miscellaneous

  • Fixed an issue in which horses, which are only found in protected areas, were included in the Endangered Species challenge criteria.
  • The Killer’s Hand Gloves were removed from the Fields of Hatred Odds and Ends seller if all other cosmetics from that vendor were purchased.
  • The Godfather was no longer available as a Wardrobe customization unlock. Uber-unique things should not be available for applying their look to other products.
  • During Helltide, an Ore Node in Kor Dragan could constantly respawn after the player left the region.
  • Multiple cases where players might become trapped on terrain while riding have been fixed.
  • Fixed an issue where the Swift Delver Challenge might be given in situations when there was no need to defeat a boss creature.
  • It was discovered that Baleful Chests might spawn outside of the Fields of Hatred.
  • Improvements to graphics, visual, performance, audio, and stability.
