New World Beginner Tips

New World Beginner Tip 1: Salvage items

So we’re gonna start off with number one. You earn some very small amounts of gold when salvaging an item, and it’s always better to salvage, then to drop an item because you don’t actually get anything from dropping an item. Obviously, with salvaging items, you do get a few repair parts. You also get some gold as well. So definitely that’s going to be tip number one. All you have to do is hold the S + left click when salvaging.

New World Beginner Tip 2: Use the money

If you have a ton of extra gold in New World, you can pick up town board quests that require item turn in. And this is for very fast experience. You probably want to do this between level twenty and twenty five and some level areas where you need more experience to actually continue the main quest. You can just go straight to the trading post, buy exactly what you need to turn in. It seems like you’re cheating at this point in time, but you do run out of gold eventually. This doesn’t last too long, but definitely take advantage of it when you can if it’s something that’s very cheap on the trading post

New World Beginner Tip 3: Do quests in the highest level zones.

When completing the daily mission faction quest, do the ones that you know you can do in the highest level regions or zones. Because that’s going to scale with your daily missions bonus. So with faction quests. you get three bonuses daily. That’s gonna give you additional exp. Do those in the highest territory you can or higher zones you can because it’s going to scale. You know it’s going to be something worth traveling to higher zones.

New World Beginner Tip 4: Take advantage of your owned territories.

You can actually transfer items between regions for a small gold fee instantly as long as your faction owns the regions you want to transfer between. So, if your faction owns Everfall and also owns Ebonscale Reach, you can actually go to Ebonscale Reach and transfer items from Everfall to Ebonscale Reach just for a very small fee. It’s very easy to do so. But to do so, all you have to do is open your storage shed from inside one of the settlements your faction owns. Use the drop down menu to pick your storage location. If you pick one of the locations that your faction owns, you can withdraw or deposit from it. It’s a very, very useful tool. Definitely something you’re going to utilize If your faction does control some territories.

NW Beginner Tip 5: Buy things from faction rep

If you run out of arrows or cartridge ammo in New World, you do not have to craft more if you don’t have the resources and gold to just craft more. That’s perfectly fine, because guess what you can do? You can go straight over to the faction rep and you can actually buy these for five tokens per. It’s very cheap. Take advantage of that. Go to your faction rep, quickly grab some arrows from your faction shop. That’s definitely worth doing

NW Beginner Tip 7: Respec attribute points

Respecing your attributes or attribute points is free up until level 20. You can respec as many times as you like, with no penalty. After level 20, initial respec costs each level will cost twelve gold more than the last respec. So it doesn’t go too crazy until the higher levels. Then it gets a little bit more expensive about level 60 but you’re also making more money. So in reality, this isn’t too bad. Ah, just keep in mind level 20 is going to be the last chance you get. Definitely take advantage of it at level 20 to make sure you have the attributes where you want them.

NW Beginner Tip 8: Save Azoth while traveling

The lighter your weigh in New World, the less Azoth it will actually cost you to fast travel around the world. If you need to travel somewhere and do not need to bring your heavy inventory items with you, try storing them in the storage shed before fast traveling to save on Azoth. That’s going to be one of the tips that a lot of people have mentioned in the past. Make sure you weigh as light as possible when traveling because it’s the fastest and easiest way to save Azoth. One way to take advantage of this is to make sure to have a full inventory when you recall to a house or recall to an Inn. You can be as heavy as you like when you’re recalling to an inn or your house as it costs no Azoth.

NW Beginner Tip 9: Buy your first house with 50% discount.

The first house you buy in New World is fifty percent off. Use this discount wisely. You may decide to save up to buy a more expensive house to make the most of this discount. The cool down for more expensive houses is shorter than less expensive houses. It may be worth buying a tier 3 or tier 4 house as it is going to  bring more value in the long term. So just keep that in mind your first house giving you a fifty percent discount in New World.

NW Beginner Tip 10: Move all items in Storage Shed

The last tip is a useful one. To transfer items quickly into or out of your storage, click the small arrow beside each category of goods. If you put the category at the top right of the UI, you can keep clicking as many times as you really want. This will help you throw basically everything in there. That’s probably one of the fastest ways to do so. It will save you quite much time.
