Path of Exile may be deep into the Archnemesis League, but the Grinding Gear Games team has announced the date for the next expansion, 3.18, which arrives on May 13th.
Path of Exile’s 3.18 Announcement
The Archnemesis League on PC will end about five days earlier, and the new content will follow. While there will be a planned livestream about a week before the new content 3.18 launches. There is a little more information with today’s announcement:
- “The scope of the expansion is a little smaller than Siege of the Atlas, but you should expect a new Challenge League, More endgame improvements and other content which will be reveal during the livestream. We’re keen to announce the dates of the livestream and Archnemesis’ end as soon as possible.”
Siege of the Atlas was a big update, with multiple additions and a massive, overhauled skill tree system. When 3.17 launch, it also brought Path of Exile its highest-ever number of concurrent players on Steam with over 270,000, so even with this one being call a little smaller should still mean plenty to keep you busy when it’s out.

The team also include some details on another patch expected before the end of the Archnemesis League. This update is set to include engine improvements, and additional fixes to the ongoing controller support beta. There’s no firm date yet on this update. but it should be relatively soon. Since the current league will only run for another few weeks.
Recent updates have focused on fixes, balance, and cleaning up some features. the controller support beta also arrived with 3.17.3, and last month’s patch added some features and made controller support better integrated.
