The team launches Jump-Start servers, which they describe as “a system we hope will provide a fresh beginning for new or returning players who are interested in giving Lost Ark another try. Smilegate describes how the servers will let returning players to “experience the many unique raids, dungeons, and character systems that make Lost Ark special.” The developer knows the “steep progression curve” but is sure that adding Jump-Start servers would offer a “good place to bring players back.” But what precisely are Jump-Start servers?
According to the developer, gamers on these servers “will get materials which offer faster horizontal and vertical development, including honing materials, card packs, and more.” If you enter one of the new servers, you will receive a South Vern pass, allowing your character to reach item level 1415 quickly. Smilegate claims each area will have its own Jump-Start server, ensuring no players are left out.
The new servers will be segregated from the rest and have their own functions. The auction house, marketplace, party finder, and PvE matching will all function separately. Next, The only thing similar across the area is the PvP matching and rating system. “This allows restarting players to have an independent experience unaffected by existing servers or regions,” says Smilegate. Furthermore, the Jump-Start servers will be isolated at first, and the developer says the team “will be closely monitoring the progression and populations.” Smilegate anticipates “reconnecting Jump-Start Servers with their respective regions within the next six months.”
